Chronicling the months from April through June, 2009, the film is drawn from more than one hundred hours of behind–the–scenes footage, featuring Jackson rehearsing a number of his songs for the show. Audiences will be given a privileged and private look at the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, and genius as he creates and perfects his final show.
I saw this on Wednesday when it was released, and I must say, I was blown away by Michael. I would have seen him in concert back at the end of last month, and when you watch this, it doesn‘t show him in poor health, it shows a man, who was doing what he does best and now he is gone.
Forever love you Michael.

A truly inspiring film of an extraordinary and talented man, Kenny Ortega‘s ‘This Is It‘ can only be described as a definitive, respectful and loving testament. It shows Michael Jackson at his creative and musical best; demanding excellence from his singers, dancers, producer, musicians and indeed himself, whilst displaying a sensitivity and appreciation for the efforts of those around him as well as demonstrating his love for his work and the natural world around us all. What a tragic loss. What a wonderful tribute. What a must–have in any serious music fan‘s collection.
